Emory Glen recently celebrated its grand opening with an unforgettable County Fair event. The day was filled with excitement, joy, and community spirit as we unveiled our newest amenities, welcomed over 500 attendees, and raised an impressive $5,000 for the Magnolia Education Foundation. Read on to learn more about the incredible moments that made the event memorable for years to come.
One of the event’s biggest highlights was showcasing the community’s most recent additions: the Alcove Pavilion, Tidewater Pool, and Goldfinch Park. The new complex is anchored by the Alcove Pavilion, a communal open-air space with patio tables, pendant lights, and additional seating. On one side of the pavilion is Tidewater Pool, a resort-style pool with a beach entry that overlooks Emory Glen’s entry lakes. Across from the pool on the other side of the pavilion is Goldfinch Park, featuring a playground, slide hills, swings, and a splash pad. These new amenities are designed to enhance residents’ quality of life and create a sense of belonging that defines the spirit of the community.
More than 500 enthusiastic guests joined us to celebrate this special day — a clear indication of the tremendous support and interest in this budding community in Magnolia. In addition to Emory Glen residents, Magnolia locals, and our builders, representatives from local organizations including the Magnolia Education Foundation, the Greater Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce, and Empire Continental Land were in attendance. These partnerships emphasize the importance of collaboration in a community like Emory Glen.
Thanks to our attendees, we raised an impressive $5,000 for the Magnolia Education Foundation, an organization dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for local students.
“This support is very much appreciated,” said Tina Slansky, President of the foundation. “Community partners such as Empire Continental Land and Emory Glen are how we are able to give away thousands of dollars each year for teacher grants, student scholarships and awards for teachers, bus drivers and bus monitors.”
Over 250 families attended our event, including guests of all ages. Upon arrival, attendees were welcomed with a take-home gift to thank them for spending the afternoon with us. Event highlights included carnival games, thrilling rides, and delicious treats, including cotton candy, popcorn, and ice-cold water. Face painters added an extra touch of magic to the day, transforming children into their favorite characters and creatures.
A mini ferris wheel, tub of fun, chair swing, and heart-pounding bungee jumparoo were the stars of the show, in addition to carnival games including ring toss, archery, balloon pop, and the 10ft. high striker. A live DJ kept the energy high throughout the day, and even organized interactive games.
Over 15 vendors from the Magnolia area set up shop, offering a variety of homemade foods, crafts, and goods. It was an excellent opportunity for the community to support local businesses and discover unique treasures. The delicious eats and one-of-a-kind products made the day even more special.
Thank you to all of those who attended Emory Glen’s County Fair — your support and enthusiasm made the event a tremendous success. For those who couldn’t attend, not to worry. Keep an eye out for future events at Emory Glen.
